When two people involved in the murder of a rowdy near a court in Coimbatore fled, the police opened fire and caught them.
Both Gokul of Keeranatham area of Coimbatore and Manoj of Sivanandapuram area of Saravanampatti appeared in the Coimbatore court yesterday for the hearing of the case as they are involved in various criminal cases and ganja cases. While the two were drinking tea in Gopalapuram near the court, a gang of 4 people who followed them stabbed them with a knife in front of the tea shop and fled. While Gokul died, Manoj is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
In this situation, the police, who investigated the possibility that the murder may have taken place due to enmity, also engaged in intensive search in the neighboring districts. Seven people in connection with the Gokul murder case were arrested by the police in Kotagiri. The police brought them to Coimbatore. Then 2 youths named Joshua and Gautham tried to escape from the police near Mettupalayam. The police then shot both of them in the leg. Subsequently, those who were shot were brought to Coimbatore Government Hospital.
