The group ‘RIIZE’ swept the top of various charts as soon as they debuted in Japan.

According to her agency SM Entertainment on the 10th, Rise made her official debut on the 5th by releasing her first Japanese single, “Lucky.”

As soon as it was released, ‘Lucky’ reached number one on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart and number one on Billboard Japan’s Top Single Sales Chart for the week (compiled from September 2 to 8). It also ranked number one for five consecutive days on the Daily Single Chart (dated from September 4 to 8) before it was reflected on the Oricon chart.

Rise’s new single contains three tracks: the title song ‘Lucky’, which depicts a bold attitude toward love, ‘Be My Next’, which expresses the moment when love begins, and ‘Same Key’, which was featured as the OST for the Japanese drama ‘Smear Your Face’.

The title song ‘Lucky’ is an upbeat funk pop song with rhythmic drums and an addictive chorus. It expresses the desire to boldly win love rather than waiting for it to happen by chance, with Rise’s unique sensibility.

Debuted on September 4th last year, Rise garnered attention as soon as they debuted with their own genre of ’emotional pop’. Every song they released became a hit, including their debut song ‘Get A Guita’, which was inspired by their own music, ‘Love 119’, which describes first love, and ‘Boom Boom Bass’, which contains their will to grow.

Meanwhile, to celebrate Rise’s Japanese debut, a ‘Lucky’ pop-up store is currently underway at the Tokyo Universal Music Store Harajuku. A special collaboration project with DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Good Luck Trolls’ has also been revealed.
