/ Foreign and Iraqi gold prices rose in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, today, Tuesday.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one mithqal of 21 carat of Gulf, Turkish and European gold amounted to 455 thousand dinars, and the purchase price was 451 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21 carat Iraqi gold was recorded at 425 thousand dinars, and the purchase price reached 421 thousand.

Regarding gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 460,000 and 470,000 dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranged between 430,000 and 440,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat gold sold for 530 thousand dinars, 22 karat sold for 490 thousand dinars, 21 karat sold for 470 thousand dinars, and 18 karat sold for 410 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
