In this case, former England captain Michael Vaughan has predicted that the reason why a quality batsman like Rishabh Pant stumbles in white ball cricket is because of the action he shows in Test cricket. Here is what he said in a recent interview: “I would say to Rishabh Pant that you don’t show aggressive action. He has got permission from the team management to be aggressive in white-ball cricket. But what he does in Test cricket, he does it carelessly in white-ball cricket. He has the ability to win the match for India if he plays 15 overs and he thinks too much about action in white ball cricket.
For that, Michael Vaughan advises that Rishab Punt should not reduce the action, he should play more action than the action he is currently showing in white ball cricket, but if he shows it carefully, he can work successfully in all 3 types of cricket. He further spoke about this as follows.

“The team management should give him full freedom as he is a good quality player. He doesn’t have to worry about getting out of shots. As far as I’m concerned, his job is to get on the field and score runs for India.”
