Thiruvananthapuram: When the India-South Africa T20 series begins today at Kariyavattam Greenfield Stadium, it is the playing XI that will bother India. With all-rounders Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar rested, players including wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant are in contention to make the XI. The return of pacer Arshdeep Singh to the team will boost confidence.

Shahbaz Ahmed has been called up to the team but his debut will have to wait. Shahbaz was brought into the team when Deepak Hooda was injured.
