There have been reports that the Chinese city of Shanghai is facing a general shutdown due to the increasing spread of the Corona virus.
Over the past few days, the number of people suffering from corona infection has been increasing in various parts of Shanghai. International media are reporting that the Shanghai government has announced new restrictions as a precautionary measure after three new cases of the virus were detected on Wednesday.

Entertainment venues and sports grounds have been closed and those entering the city are being tested and quarantined, reports said.
Already after two lockdowns earlier this year, the resurgence of infections has alarmed people.
