The Tingalés midfielder debuted last year in the Copa Perú

The midfielder Jhoao Rivera Jaimes —who has been shining in Tingalés football and debuted last year at just 14 years old in the Copa Perú in Tingo María— wants to surpass what his father, ‘Pituco’ Rivera, achieved, who played in several national tournaments and was promoted with León de Huánuco in 2009.

“It was a very good experience playing in the Copa Perú; it demands a lot from you, but I always try to give my best in every match. My dream is to play professionally in Liga1 or Liga2. I know that little by little I will achieve it,” commented ‘Pituquito’.

The player has three national titles in the Copa de Oro and Copa Crema with the Galácticos de Progreso (under-13) and José Mena (under-12 and under-15).

‘Pituquito’ Rivera, who started in the youth divisions of C.D. Unas, managed to become champion last year in the district, provincial, and regional stages with Gómez Arias Dávila in the School Games

TO ROAR WITH THE LION

Jhoao Rivera added that at some point he would like to wear the jersey of C.S.D. León de Huánuco.

“I am characterized as a player who likes to take on opponents and join the attack; I hope to wear the jersey of León de Huánuco one day, which has a lot of history in Huánuco football,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that his father, Jonathan ‘Pituco’ Rivera, who played for Atlético Afilador, UNAS, Tambillo Grande, Negocios Unidos, Bella Durmiente, Lolo FC, and in Huánuco wore the jerseys of León de Huánuco, Alianza UDH, Cultural Tarapacá, and Unheval.
