As the flyover in Bagoor-Panitattu village is weakened and the barrier wall has collapsed, there is a risk of accidents to the motorists passing through it. A large number of vehicles pass through the Panitattu – Redtichavadi road near Krimambakkam under Empbalam block every day. Over 50 years ago, a flyover was built by the Public Works Department across the Panipattu stream on this road. This flyover, which is being used by the general public, is currently cracked in many places, the shutters are also broken and damaged and in a weakened condition. The cement cars have fallen down in the lower part of the bridge and the wires are visible. Also, the western part of the bridge’s retaining wall has collapsed to a length of 10 feet and is open. Due to this, the public passing by is in fear as there is a risk of getting into an accident. Therefore, the government should take immediate action to repair this bridge immediately.
