Former wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani has said that Rithiman Saha is the worst victim of politics in Indian cricket.

Rithiman Saha, senior wicketkeeper of the Indian Test team. Ridhiman Saha did not get a place in the Test squad as Dhoni was in the Indian team. Ridhiman Saha has been a part of the Indian team since Dhoni retired from international Test cricket in 2014.
But due to injury he was unable to make a permanent place in the Indian team. After Rishabh Pund joined the team, Rithiman Saha was made the 2nd option. Rithiman Saha is the best wicket keeper in terms of wicket keeping. Rishabh Bundle could not even come close to Ritiman Saha in wicket-keeping prowess. But considering his impressive batting and the team’s future, he was named the primary wicket-keeper in the Test team. Over time he also developed wicket-keeping skills.
So it seems that the Indian team management has decided to sideline Rishabh Pund as he was the 2nd option for Rithiman Saha to be a permanent fixture in the Indian Test team.
With the Indian team set to play in the next Test series against Sri Lanka, it seems that the Indian team has decided to sideline two senior players, Ishant Sharma and Rithiman Saha. The locations of Rahane and Pujara are also in doubt.
Ridhiman Saha, 37, despite being a prolific wicket-keeper, is coming to the end of his career, having played only 40 Tests for India.
Speaking about Rithiman Saha, Syed Kirmani said that there is no doubt that Rithiman Saha is the best wicket keeper. But he was included in the team by Rishabh Punt’s impressive batting. At 37, Saha is the best wicket-keeper. He should not be upset. He has done well for the Indian team. He is sidelined because he does not belong to any group. Rithiman Saha is a victim of Indian cricket politics. But I will always remember him as the best wicket-keeper, ”said Syed Kirmani.
