The collision, analyzing the dynamics and the damages of the vehicles, did not appear plausible. Furthermore, in the first statements made by the protagonists, different roles emerged from those actually played in the accident. Thus in-depth investigations were launched, at the end of which the municipal police discovered unequivocally that the accident had been staged to obtain compensation from the insurance company. To make everything more believable, the 5 had also called two ambulances to transport three of the five involved in the (fake) accident, in order to obtain a medical report and ask for higher compensation.
Collected all the elements, too thanks to the surveillance cameras in the area that the five had not noticedthe local police reported the five people, in collusion with each other, for fraudulent damage to insured goods, simulation of crime, impersonation and causing alarm to the emergency medical service. The scam was unsuccessful.
