Teh former president’s business ventures have blossomed into a multi-million dollar enterprise, selling everything from fragrances and clothing to gilded smartphones – a testament to Donald Trump’s enduring brand power and savvy business acumen.

Donald Trump’s post-presidency has seen a important expansion of his commercial interests, transforming a long-standing, albeit modest, business project into a thriving online marketplace. Sales of Trump-branded products reached impressive heights in 2024, wiht perfumes and shoes alone generating $2.5 million in revenue, according to reports from NBC News.

A Scent of Diplomacy – and Sales

A surprising chapter in the Trump brand story involves a diplomatic encounter turned marketing opportunity. During a meeting with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad’s wife, Asma al-assad, she complimented Trump on his fragrance. This led to the creation of a Trump-branded perfume, marketed as a luxurious and sophisticated scent. However, fragrance isn’t the first to bear Trump’s name. it followed the “Fight Fight Fight” cologne, priced at $199 and featuring an image of the former president raising his fist. This product is specifically targeted towards “patriots who do not give up, just like President Trump.”

Beyond Fragrance: A Diverse Product Line

The “Trump Store” offers a remarkably diverse range of products, mirroring the breadth of offerings from established international fashion brands. Customers can browse clothing, shoes, bags, watches, mugs, scented candles, blankets, pillows, towels, bathing suits, slippers, and even gold-plated smartphones.

The origins of this business date back to 2004, when Trump, then primarily focused on real estate, launched a line of men’s ready-to-wear clothing manufactured in China. Over the past two decades, the clothing line has evolved, currently featuring shirts, jackets, sweatpants, ties, hats, shoes, and socks, all typically branded with the Trump name and priced between $20 and $200.

In 2017, coinciding with his first presidential campaign, trump transitioned his business into a fully-fledged online store. This expansion included books, pens, office supplies, kitchen utensils, and a wide array of items featuring his signature and image.

Manufacturing and Supply Chain

Despite past controversies surrounding his rhetoric on immigration and subsequent contract terminations with manufacturers in the far East, the Trump Organization continues to rely heavily on overseas labor. A significant portion of the products sold in the Trump Store are still manufactured in China, alongside facilities in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Turkey.

High-End Offerings and Strong Sales

The Trump brand extends into luxury goods as well. The “Fight for America” shoe collection, launched last year, generated considerable buzz, with the former president personally promoting the line at launch events. Thes shoes, ranging in price from $200 to $300, include designs inspired by military boots and feature patriotic motifs.

Trump also offers a line of classical and electric guitars, priced between $1,000 and $11,500. The most expensive model is signed by trump and features a drawing of the American eagle. Guitar sales alone generated $1.55 million in revenue for the Trump Organization in 2024.

Beyond shoes and guitars, Trump-branded wristwatches, inspired by his presidency and marketed with descriptors like “warrior,” “fighter,” and “hurricane,” contributed $2.8 million in sales. The latest addition to the product line is the gold-plated “T1” smartphone, priced at $499, which the Trump Organization claims is manufactured entirely within the United States.

The Art of the Deal Continues

With a personal fortune exceeding $5 billion as of june 2024,according to Forbes magazine,Donald Trump remains deeply invested in his business ventures. As he famously stated in his book, “The art of the Deal,” “I don’t do it for the money… I do it because deals are my art.” This sentiment underscores his continued dedication to expanding his brand and capitalizing on his enduring appeal, solidifying his position as a businessman first, and a politician second.
