The Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ) decided to maintain the prison of Luiz Antônio da Silva, Zinhoafter a custody hearing held this Tuesday, 26. He is considered the largest militia leader in the state and had been on the run since 2018, when he decided to turn himself in Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police last Sunday, 24. The arrest of Zinho, known for the serial attack that set fire to more than 30 buses in October, was negotiated with defense lawyers, the PF and the Public Security Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro. His surrender occurred in the same week that a PF operation investigated the involvement of the Rio de Janeiro state deputy, Lucinha (PSD), and his advisor, with Zinho’s militia group.
