jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI Perjuangan spokesperson Chico Hakim said that his political party is not concerned about other parties’ decisions in nominating candidates in regional elections, including in Jakarta.
He spoke in response to the possibility that the parties in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would nominate Ridwan Kamil or RK in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“For us in the PDI Perjuangan, we are never too bothered by the decisions of other parties in nominating candidates in regional elections, especially in the Jakarta regional elections,” said Chico to the media crew, Monday (5/8).
He said that PDI Perjuangan is still trying to find internal cadres to be nominated in the political contestation of the province with the Monas icon.
“We, specifically in Jakarta, are of course still trying to narrow down one name from within the cadres to nominate as a gubernatorial or deputy gubernatorial candidate,” Chico continued.
He continued that PDI Perjuangan is also communicating with other parties in order to nominate candidates for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
Including, said Chico, PDI Perjuangan is building communication with Anies Baswedan who has been supported by PKS as the 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Candidate.
“So, we are still continuing to simulate names internally and continue to communicate with political parties without exception, and also political figures such as Mr. Anies who has also been supported by PKS,” he said.
