At the meeting of the decision-making body, SZKT president Rozália Biró announced that on Thursday the consultative council of the regional presidents and the platforms also decided to recommend Kelemen Hunor as candidate for the head of state. The proposal was also supported by the RMDSZ Women’s Organization and the Hungarian Youth Conference (MIÉRT).

And only a Hungarian candidate can represent the specific problems of the Hungarian community – he said.

In the campaign, the RMDSZ will talk about the country’s increasingly pressing problems, the deteriorated relationship between the state and its citizens, the threatening demographic situation, the danger of the collapse of the supply systems, and the fact that if the current trend continues, by 2040 Romania will be “a beautiful, large and it will be an empty country”.
According to his opinion, the citizens of the country are angry because the state institutions treat them badly, administration is over-regulated and difficult, the state abuses its power, it is a “nightmare state”. This must be changed, otherwise the citizen will change and leave the country, he said.
