(ANSA) – UDINE, APRIL 11 – “I don’t have human feelings, but I manage to recognize them and collaborate with human beings without replacing them, making myself useful in guaranteeing the safety of their work and lightening their efforts.” This is how RoBee expressed himself, the first humanoid robot certified to work in factories, created by Oversonic and which, highlighted Paolo Denti, CEO and founder of the company, “is present in various Italian industries and is used in around 80 different applications” .
The robot, “programmed not to rebel”, uses AI to support humans in the workplace, analyzing and storing all the information coming from its sensors and using the advanced cognitive services of the cloud.
RoBee, “which is and remains a machine, and requires the centrality of the person”, specified Denti, was the testimonial of the conference entitled “Industry 5.0: a collaborative future”, promoted today by the Advanced Tertiary Group of Confindustria Udine.
For Anna Mareschi Danieli, vice-president of Confindustria Udine, “these technologies make working environments more livable, more personalized to the needs of human resources, always with great attention to the environment”.
The group leader of the Advanced Tertiary sector of Confindustria Udine Mauro Pinto did not hide the ethical and social questions raised by the introduction of humanoids and industrial exoskeletons. “It is essential – he underlined – to face these challenges with a holistic vision, promoting policies that guarantee a fair and inclusive transition towards Industry 5.0. Human-robot interaction is a significant step towards a future in which humans and machines collaborate to create more efficient, safe working environments, adaptable to the challenges of the global economy”.
