Bayern and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski has been named FIFA World Player of the Year 2021 at a ceremony in Zurich.
According to the rules, when determining the winner in this nomination, the results of the players in the period from October 8, 2020 to August 7, 2021 are taken into account.
Other contenders for the award were Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi and Liverpool’s Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah.
Recall that a year ago, Lewandowski was also recognized as the best football player.
