Roccabascerana, “So close, yet so far: Aglianico in the world”

On Saturday 7 September, Roccabascerana celebrates Aglianico wine and the talent of the Caudinian family who have been cultivating its grapes for centuries with the event “So Close, So Far”, in Campania as in Australia.

At 6:00 pm at the Arts and Culture Center of Cassano Caudino the Comparison on the future of Caudino wine with tastings of Aglianico produced in Campania and Australia.

At 9:00 pm in the Cassano Caudino square a musical tribute to Enrico Caruso “The Legend of an Emigrant” with artists from the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.
Producers Barbati, Bellaria, Scalzi Wines and Tenuta Virgilia will be present. Scalzi Wines from the Australian Barossa Valley is the result of the efforts of Carmine Scalzi, known as “Charlie”, the creator of wine transfer, an Irpinia talent who created his own company across the border.
The event was born within the project Turismo delle Radici “celebration for emigrants” financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the year that celebrates Italian roots, the event “Così vicini così lontano” tells the story of a wine that has become a label in the world for its qualities and for the commitment of its producers.
