The Royal Spanish Football Federation has officially announced that it “has provisionally awarded the video arbitration assistance service (VAR) to Grup Mediapro, SLU. Likewise, the RFEF has provisionally awarded the semi-automatic offside detection (SAOT) technology to Hawk-Eye Innovation. “Both concessions are for the next four seasons, from 2024/25 to 2027/28.”

The second sentence against the federation was handed down last May by Commercial Court number 3 of Madrid. The magistrate ordered the RFEF to pay Roures 2.1 million euros for alleged irregularities committed in the contest called in May 2019 to award the League’s Video Assistance Refereeing Service (VAR).
