Sunita Williams is the second Indian to be selected by NASA for space travel. The first was Kalpana Chawla. Sunitha, Madhavan and Nambi Narayanan have been seen together in a movie.
Meanwhile, it was decided to observe a day named after Nambi Narayanan in Stafford, USA. Stafford Mayor Cecil Willis of Texas declared June 3 Nambi National Day as R Madhavan and Nambi Narayanan visit the US as part of the promotion of the film ‘Rocketry the Nambi Effect’ based on Nambi Narayanan’s life.
Also at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nummy Effect received rave reviews. June 3 is set aside as a tribute to former ISRO scientist Padmabhushan Nambi Narayanan in the film Rocketry. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan and is gaining international acclaim.
There is a Malayalee behind the important role in bringing the story of Nambi Narayanan, a Malayalee scientist who proved his innocence before the law and time, to the silver screen, who made his own life a crime. When this film was noticed internationally, the proud achievement of the Malayalee producer Dr. Varghese also claimed the corner. He is the co-producer of Varghese Mulan Pictures, a film directed by Varghese Mulan. G. Prajesh Sen, author of The Orbit of Memories and director of the films Captain and Water, is the co-director of the film.
Madhavan plays the role of Nambi Narayanan. Madhavan himself has written and directed the film. R. with Varghese Mullen Pictures. Madhavan’s Tricolor Films and Hollywood production company 27th Investments are the producers. The movie will hit theaters on July 1.
