Roger Federer (Switzerland), a former ‘number one’ tennis player and 20 Grand Slam champion, underwent two operations on his right knee in 2020. He recovered from injury and played in 5 series without winning anything. He then returned to Wimbledon in July with knee pain and missed the rest of the season.
He has undergone training methods to get rid of the knee problem completely as per the advice of the doctors. Yet it is uncertain when he will return to the field again.
In this context, the 40-year-old Federer said in an interview yesterday, ‘I have no chance of participating in the Australian Open in Melbourne in January next year. Only in January can I run well. I will start practicing tennis again in March or April. I would definitely be surprised if I could dance at Wimbledon in London. My ambition is to act as much as I can to achieve the last time.
