Activist, composer and musician, co-founder of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters strongly criticized Elon Musk, calling him an “imbecile” for making posts against Nicolás Maduro, saying that “he is inciting violence.”

“I wonder why he wants to get rid of the government, which represents the common people. This is Elon Musk, who sat at the top, he probably gave it to his friend Netanyahu, the serial killer,” Waters said during his video.

He said that the only thing the millionaire, whom he called Oligarch Elon Musk, is seeking is to destabilize the government, and he asked Venezuelans to distance themselves from the influence of people who have nothing to do with internal affairs, such as Musk.

“All we need is calm, a proper investigation into the elections that took place in Venezuela, without guns being fired in the streets, or calls from Mr. Musk to tear down statues of Hugo Chavez…just stay calm, investigate on your own and move on, it’s called: DE-MO-CRA-CY,” was the message that the musician sent to the Venezuelan people.

The video ends by calling him an idiot!

There was criticism of the British composer on social media:

  • I doubt they have ever been to Venezuela. They do not represent the people.
  • People here really don’t understand the situation in Venezuela from what I’ve been seeing. I was in Venezuela during the 2019 coup attempt and that shit wasn’t backed by the CIA, believe me, nor is this
  • They think that public schools and hospitals look like those in their home country or even in the second world where there were homeless children living at the end of the bridge near my house. I remember a child who was 5 years old who cried when I gave him candy. Literally a children’s room.
