Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin reacted to the US shutdown of Globalstar satellite communications in the Russian Federation. The head of the Russian state corporation made a statement on Telegram.
According to Rogozin, it is impossible to achieve victories in war and success in civilian life without creating full-fledged orbital communications and surveillance groups. “To believe that it will soon become the same as before and that we will again be able to use other people’s geo- and information space services is unforgivable stupidity,” the Roscosmos CEO wrote on the social network.
Earlier, Rogozin promised that Roskosmos would reconsider its priorities and concentrate its efforts on complete import independence in space instrumentation. This is how the head of the state corporation reacted to the sanctions that the United States and EU countries imposed against Russia against the backdrop of a special military operation in the Donbass.
