Chennai: The incident of Narikuruvar refusing to allow people to enter the Rohini theater to watch Batu Thala movie in Chennai has created a controversy.
Directed by Opili Krishna and starring actors Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others, the movie ‘Pathu Thala’ was released across Tamil Nadu today (March 30). In this case, today (March 30), a video was released on social media that people of the Narikkurvar tribe who came to Rohini Theater in Koyambhet, Chennai, were denied permission to watch this film.
The theater management has given an explanation as this incident has caused a huge controversy. They were initially denied entry as they came with their children as the film ‘Pathu Thala’ has got a UA certificate. But later they were all allowed,” they explained. The police department is investigating the matter.
