The T20 World Cup series takes place in Australia later this year. Some players took advantage of the IPL as a good opportunity to feature in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup.
Hardik Pandya, who was particularly fitness questionable, played immensely in the IPL and proved that he has the fitness to throw his entire bowling quota well. Asathi also won the trophy in his first season as captain. As a result, he is back in the T20 squad.
Dinesh Karthik, Rahul Tripathi and bowlers Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly. Apart from Tripathi, other players have been named in India’s squad for the T20 series against South Africa.
In this situation, Akash Chopra has selected the Indian team for the T20 World Cup based on the players played in the 15th season of IPL. Rohit, Kohli and Rishabh Pund did not play well this season and did not pick all three.
