Bangladesh won the 3 ODI series between India and Bangladesh by 2-1. This will be followed by a series of 2 Test matches.
The first Test will start on the 14th. Captain Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja have been ruled out of the Test series due to injuries. So KL Rahul has been appointed as the captain of the Indian team for the Test series against Bangladesh.

With Mohammed Shami out, Jaidev has been included in the squad for the first time in 12 years since 2010. Unadgat, who played in his first Test in 2010, has since been picked in the Indian squad for this series.
Another fast bowler Navdeep Saini has also been included in the squad. Navdeep Saini, who last played in a Test against Australia in January last year, has returned to the Indian team after almost 2 years. Jadeja has been replaced by Saurabh Kumar.
Abhimanyu Iswaran has been included in the squad in place of Rohit Sharma. India A was captained by Abhimanyu Iswaran in the Test match against Bangladesh A.
