The elected mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega will challenge the nullity of the election in Cuauhtémoc, before the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF).

Through a statement, Rojo de la Vega confirmed that after the determination of the Electoral Tribunal of Mexico City (TECDMX) to annul the election in Cuauhtémoc, he will appeal to the TEPJF Regional Chamber, to defend his triumph.

“We are going to defend that victory”warned Rojo de la Vega, confiding that the TEPJF “has already corrected them twice and this will be the third time.”

Yesterday, in a public session, the TECDMX annulled the election in Cuauhtémoc due to alleged political violence based on gender against the former candidate of Morena, PT and PVEM, Catalina Monreal.
