The Minister of Public Works (MOP), Romeo Herrera, reported that this Friday they will begin surveying activities to stabilize 25 slopes located on the highway to Comalapa.
“On the highway to Comalapa we have already started with topographical activities to stabilize 25 slopes in this entire corridor. We are going to carry out protection works,” said the head of Public Works.
The official said that during the winter, with just a few minutes of rain, there have been landslides and other problems, such as those generated in Montelimar and different kilometers of the highway to Comalapa.
“We have signed a contract with the IDB for 25 slopes (to be worked on) on this highway alone. Right now we are in the topography stage and we hope to begin activities in a few days to be able to solve and mitigate the problems,” said Romeo Rodríguez.
