Vijay Antony, who has been well-received by acting in crime killer and sentimental films, is jumping into the field with a romantic film this time. Is the movie Romeo, which is released as a romantic movie, impressed the fans or not?

Vijay Antony goes to Malaysia to pay off the debt he took for his family, earns well and returns to India after finishing all his problems. This is why he is getting old. However, Vijay Antony, who is determined to fall in love and get married in the coming days, sees the heroine Mrinalini at a death event. Vijay falls in love with Antony on sight. Meanwhile, without the knowledge of her family, Mrinalini, who is trying in the cinema by acting in a small character in an attempt to become the biggest heroine in the cinema, gets stuck at home.

Following this, wedding preparations are going on for him and Vijay Antony. Then Mrinalini marries Vijay Antony with a condition that she has to live in Chennai. Vijay Antony agrees to this and the marriage is going on fast. Mrinalini’s identity is revealed to Vijay Antony who comes to Chennai after marriage. Shocked by this, he then searches for himself and becomes a producer himself to fulfill Mrinalini’s wish. Did Mrinalini become a big heroine after that or not? Did he and Vijay Antony get together or not? That is the rest of the story of the film.

Director Vinayak Vaidyanathan has adapted the movie ‘Rabne Banathi Jodi’ which was released in Bollywood and adapted it to Tamil as an interesting romantic film. Even though Romeo is a film based on a screenplay that we have already seen, he has kept us entertained with an interesting screenplay so that we don’t get bored at any point. Even though the subsequent events in the film are predictable, as well as the ending of the film as we have already guessed, it is a plus for the film that it does not lose interest in any place to watch the film.

Director Vinayak Vaidyanathan has enriched the film with an interesting screenplay suitable for Tamil keeping the plot of how the heroine who does not like marriage is corrected by the hero after marriage. As much as the Rabne Banathi Jodi film released in Hindi made the fans enjoy the deep connection between the story and the character, similarly in this film, they have given the same deep and compelling character connection through the same screenplay with a different plot.

Vijay Antony impresses with his usual quiet performance. He tries to impress the fans with his trademark performance in any kind of story. He gives a perfect performance without demonstration to suit the respective story and makes the film a strong side. He has done the same in this film. The heroine Mrinalini has given an excellent performance in the films we have seen so far. He has given life to the character by giving a perfect look and acting which is suitable for the story and the character. The chemistry between him and Vijay Antony is interesting and is a plus for the film. As usual, Yogi Babu came and went and tried to make us laugh. VTV Ganesh is better than him in many places. The chemistry between him and Vijay Antony is working out well. Otherwise all the other actors in the film have done their job well.

Music composed by Bharat Dhanasekar and Ravi Royster, the songs are enjoyable in a different effort. The background music is also a strong side to the film. Farooq J Pasha’s cinematography showcases the film’s Chennai-related scenes and cinema-related scenes.

Although this story is familiar to Hindi cinema, it is new to Tamil cinema. The film is a good entertainment film for Tamil fans who have not seen Hindi cinema and for Tamil fans who have seen it.
