Rosalía once again wins the Grammy for Best Alternative Latin Album for ‘Motomami’

by time news

Rosalía, with her latest album ‘Motomami’, continues to overwhelm and is ready to monopolize all the attention of the music world throughout this 2023. Her album has been among the most listened to at the moment for a long time and the awards do not stop filling her hands. Last night, the Barcelona artist conquered the Grammy for Best Alternative Latin Album or rock at the 65th edition of these awards that took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, as announced by the United States Recording Academy.

The artist’s idyll with the Grammys is not new. With this gramophone there are already two that Rosalía accumulates, which won with ‘El mal querer’ in 2020year in which she was also nominated for best new artist.

Rosalía was unable to attend the pre-gala, which did not prevent her from winning over the other four artists who were competing in the same category: Jorge Drexler, with ‘Tinta y Tiempo’; Mon Laferte, with ‘1940 Carmen’, Gaby Moreno, with ‘Alegoría’; and Fito Páez, with ‘Los años salvajes’.

The numerous categories of these awards have motivated the Academy to divide its ceremony into two parts: a pre-gala, which is not televised and where most of the awards are given; and the great ceremonywhich takes place later and announces the most popular awards already in front of the cameras.

As if that were not enough, Rosalía was one of the successful artists in the last Latin Grammys, a gala in which she won four awards in the categories of best recording engineering, best packaging design, best alternative music album and best album of the year by ‘Motomami’.
