The `Motomami World Tour´ of the Rosalía started this past Tuesday at the Almería fairgrounds. Thousands of fans enjoyed the concert offered by the Catalan artist.

And it is that the artist from Sant Esteve Sesrovires will parade her lavish and new show through only 10 Spanish stages and, later, to 16 countries in an ambitious journey that will last until December 18. The next stop will be Seville on July 9 and Bilbao will arrive on July 27. Outside of Spain, it will land in international capitals such as Buenos Aires, Santiago, New York or Paris.

A hundred people from the technical team, ten musicians and dancers, eight trucks of materials to set up an impressive stage with an audiovisual display, three ‘sleeper’ trucks for the touring staff, more than 150 people of local staff involved, from loaders and conductors, chefs, hotel service for the concert, security, toilets… Everything to ensure that this show followed worldwide meets the expectations of what the Motomami Tour is and will be.

And the fact is that ‘Motomami’ is the first of the three albums by the Catalan in which she talks about herself. In Los Angeles she dealt with death, in El mal querer, mistreatment and gender violence. Now Rosalía not only allows herself to talk about herself, about sex, parties, family, criticism, fame or jealousy, she allows herself to do so while having fun, experimenting, with humor, because now she is hers and she can do it.

The public gave itself from the first moment to its idol. Quite youthful, as expected, and brimming with energy, they knew the lyrics of each of the songs that were playing throughout the hot night, heat that was partly radiated by the unconditional fans. The luckiest ones were able to enter with priority and reach the track area where they could be close to the artist.

Others with less luck, but no less enthusiastic about the performance, approached the fences that divided the venue in two. It was a quiet night in the rest of the capital, but around the studio, there was no room for calm. A light breeze and the fans relieved the sweats, but not the hearts of the motomamis and motomamis. 12,000 people packed the track fervently fighting to make their way to the front row, not an easy task.

At 10 p.m. the long-awaited moment arrived. Rosalía came out on stage with a brutal staging that opened the world tour with the torrential ‘Saoko’. The powerful bass so characteristic of the song rumbled in the chest of those present. A dozen dancers wearing helmets with LED lights and spectacular lighting accompanied the beat of “Saoko papi Saoko” and began the jumps, which did not end until the end of the show.

She was followed by Candy, who the public did not hesitate to sing a cappella while a camera followed the singer in the foreground and with shots of powerful visual value that were projected on the two side screens. ‘Bizcochito’ was one of the main dishes. With his 8-bit tones and his lively choreography, he sang the ‘tarará’ that excited the Almerian public so much.

“A land of art”

The first songs took a long time to get the perfect sound settings, but by the third, any kind of problem was forgotten. There was also time for songs like ‘La Fama”, one of the most emblematic songs on the album. Of course, without the artist ‘The Weekend’, who could not be present for obvious reasons. The artist had time to remember her vacation in Almería when she was only 8 years old and she declared herself an unconditional fan of David Bisbal. A land, Almería, which she described as “of art”, after which she sang the song ‘Dolerme’ while she played the guitar.

‘Motomami’ brought spectacular central shots, the dancers in turn forming a human motorcycle on which Rosalía climbed to sing it.

‘The night of last night’ brought with it one of the most exciting moments when Rosalía came down from the stage, passing the microphone to one of her admirers. The song was also one of the most sung by the public. Also ‘Diablo’ in which the red lights came into play and in which a particular scene in which Rosalía cut her hair extensions.

A piano came on stage during the hit ‘Hentai’, creating a beautiful atmosphere with its chords. The song, which caused so much controversy due to its erotic metaphors, brought a moment of slowness with Rosalía’s melodic voice, which slowed down the pulse of those present for a few moments. The choirs of the public velvety accompanied one of the most popular hits.

‘The bad want’ was also present. ‘El techo en su mirá’, and ‘Malamente, with her flamenco rhythms dazzled the oldest faithful and those who had known her for less time.

The Catalan artist, exclusively for Almería, released two unreleased songs. The first of them ‘Aislamiento’ with flamenco touches with motomamic nuances and a brief version of ‘Blinding lights’ by The Wrekend. The second theme received no title during the performance. After this, ‘Como un G’ channeled the hearts of the attendees; Chicken Teriyaki stirred them up to finally finish with ‘Cuuuute’. The premiere of the world tour was, in short, a real success that left no one indifferent.
