Atomenergoprom (a subsidiary of Rosatom) has placed the first issue of green bonds for 10 billion rubles. for a period of 5 years. This is stated in the message of Gazprombank, which acted as one of the organizers of the placement.

Atomenergoprom’s 001P-01 series bonds were placed at a coupon rate of 7.5% per annum. The par value of the bonds is 1,000 rubles, the coupon period is 182 days.

As Gazprombank explains, the bond issue is included in the sustainable development sector – the “green” bond segment on the Moscow Exchange. The issue complies with the principles of green bonds (GBP) of the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) and the provisions of the VEB.RF Guidelines for the development of investment activities in the field of green financing in Russia, and is also green in accordance with the Bank of Russia regulation.

Funds from the placement of bonds will be used to refinance previously incurred expenses for the Wind Energy program.

During the collection of the order book, more than 60 applications were received with a total volume of over 80 billion rubles. All categories of investors took part in the transaction – banks, managers, investment and insurance companies, as well as individuals.
