Launched on December 27 from Baikonur, OneWeb satellites have been successfully launched into target orbits, the state corporation Roscosmos reports on Twitter.

“All 36 OneWeb communications satellites have successfully separated from the Fregat upper stage and placed into target orbits,” the company said in a statement.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with 36 OneWeb communication satellites took place at the Baikonur cosmodrome on December 27 at 16.10 Moscow time. The start-up took place in the normal mode. After that, the Fregat upper stage continued to launch 36 vehicles into the target circular orbit.

As a result of today’s launch, the LEO constellation OneWeb increased by 36 satellites and reached 394. The launch became the twelfth one within the OneWeb program and the eighth this year. Five of them passed at the Vostochny cosmodrome, three more at Baikonur.
