Chelsea Manager Rosenior Welcomes Sarr’s Return to Stamford Bridge
Liam Rosenior expressed his delight at the return of defender Mamadou Sarr to Chelsea during the winter transfer window.

Mamadou Sarr is back at Chelsea, leaving Ligue 1 side Strasbourg in this winter transfer window, a move that has clearly pleased manager Liam Rosenior. The central defender returns to the Blues to reunite with his former coach. Rosenior didn’t hide his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m happy that Mamadou Sarr has come back. I wanted him at Chelsea.”
The move isn’t viewed as a zero-sum game, however. Rosenior was quick to acknowledge the talent within Strasbourg, specifically highlighting Aaron Anselmino. “Aaron Anselmino is a fantastic player,” he said. He emphasized a broader vision for the relationship between the two clubs, adding, “Strasbourg has its own identity, culture and goals. The idea of this project is that both clubs are very successful and I believe that will be the case.”
