Roskachestvo has checked the applications for ordering products at home presented in Russia. The best were “VkusVill”, Ozon and “Perekrestok – Delivery” for Android and iOS, according to the website of Roskachestvo.
When compiling the rating, the functionality of the application, the ability to register through accounts in social networks, additional search and payment options were evaluated. The experts tested 14 apps for Android and iOS, each of which tested 180 parameters.
Among the tested applications, the most convenient ones were VkusVill, METRO and My Auchan for Android devices, and for iPhone – VkusVill, My Auchan and Yandex.Eda. The most secure experts called “My Auchan” for both operating systems.
Roskachestvo noted that during the current check of services, only applications were assessed, and the quality of services and delivered food products are planned by specialists to check in the future.
At the end of 2020, five companies accounted for more than 55% of the online food sales market in Russia. First place with a turnover of RUB 21.9 billion. including VAT, X5 Retail Group (Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Karusel) took the second place, Sbermarket with 20.7 billion rubles, the third – Utkonos with 16.4 billion rubles. The fourth place in online product sales in 2020 was taken by Vkusville with a turnover of 14.9 billion rubles, in the fifth line – Ozon, which had 12.6 billion rubles per category.
Food is becoming the fastest growing category in the e-commerce market. According to Infoline forecasts, online food sales will reach 400 billion rubles this year, and by 2024 they will exceed 1.1 trillion rubles, of which almost 90% will be provided by the ten largest players. But without expanding the assortment, geography and launching the delivery of alcohol, it will be difficult to achieve the indicators.
