Russia has successfully tested the boosted engine of the upper stage for the Angara-A5 rocket. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation “Roscosmos”.
The first firing test of the oxygen-hydrogen engine of the new upper stage took place on December 29 at the test facility of the Voronezh rocket engine building center. According to the report, the RD-0146D1 oxygen-hydrogen rocket engine is being created for the upper stage of the KBTK of the Angara-A5 heavy-class launch vehicle.
Earlier it was reported that Russia carried out the third test launch of the Angara heavy missile. It was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome by space forces.
