Roskosmos plans to restructure the production of satellites

by time news

The state corporation Roscosmos plans to restructure its work in order to produce satellites in a different quantity and quality, said the head of the corporation, Yuri Borisov, in an interview with Rossiya 24.

“Today we need to restructure our work in such a way as to learn how to produce satellites in a completely different quantity and quality,” Borisov emphasized (quoted by TASS).

He noted that this will require a fundamental restructuring of technological processes, including the process of development, production and testing. Borisov added that all this work will have to be carried out under the conditions of sanctions, but this cannot be constantly referred to, because the Russian electronics industry is gradually reviving. Borisov said that the Americans, Europeans and Chinese have long overtaken Russia in the field of satellites.

Borisov said earlier today that the process of Russia’s withdrawal from the International Space Station project could take up to two years. He noted that after the expiration of the ISS, it will need to be properly flooded: according to foreign partners, Russia will need help for this.
