There is too much pesticide chlorpyrifos in tangerines from Turkey, and therefore it was decided to temporarily restrict the import of fruits to Russia. Information about this appeared on the Rospotrebnadzor website.

“Violations of mandatory legal requirements have been identified. The concentration of the pesticide exceeds the maximum permissible level,” the message underlines.

In order to prevent poisoning among the population, the import of the specified food products is suspended from October 29 until further notice. The Federal Customs Service has been informed about this. The situation is under the control of the department.
