Since February 18, a high alert regime has been introduced in the Rostov region in connection with the organization of the reception of refugees from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. This was reported by the Ministry of Regional Policy and Mass Communications.
“In order to organize work on the reception of refugees, an operational headquarters has been created under the government of the Rostov region. Temporary accommodation centers have been prepared to accommodate citizens of the DPR and LPR. They are planned to be deployed on the basis of existing health camps, sanatoriums, recreation centers, in total for 3274 places, ”the website of the government of the Rostov region reports.
It is also noted that in the coming hours the number of seats is planned to be increased to 10 thousand, and in the future the increase in the number of seats “will be carried out taking into account the development of the situation.” Food and medical services are provided for visitors at temporary accommodation points.
As previously reported, the first buses with evacuated residents of the DPR and LPR have already crossed the Russian border in the Rostov region.
Today, February 18, the heads of the self-proclaimed republics announced the evacuation of residents, namely children, women and the elderly. Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to pay each evacuee 10,000 rubles.
