Russians traveling around the country and abroad during non-working days should observe measures to prevent coronavirus, said the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova.

“In the current situation, our key task is to ensure the safety of people. And taking into account the upcoming non-working days, we strongly recommend and ask tourists to observe all precautions during travel: be sure to wear masks in public places, keep a distance, avoid large crowds of people,” quotes Doguzova’s press service.

The head of the Federal Tourism Agency noted that when planning trips in Russia or abroad, it is worth taking into account the situation with the coronavirus and the current restrictions. Up-to-date information is available on the stopkoronavirus.rf website and the national travel portal Russia.Travel.

Tourists planning to travel abroad were reminded by the department of the need to timely do PCR tests and recommended to purchase insurance that covers treatment and hospitalization in case of coronavirus infection.

Doguzova urged hoteliers to strictly observe all safety rules established by Rospotrebnadzor, and tour operators and travel agents to inform tourists about the situation with coronavirus in the places where the trip is planned.

Rosturizm also recalled that the government has updated support measures for small and medium-sized businesses, including tourism. From November 1, grants for salaries and soft loans will be provided. This measure will be able to take advantage of about 300 thousand entrepreneurs.
