Royal Enfield has introduced the SG650 concept bike in a sleek model

by time news
Royal Enfield unveiled its new SG 650 concept motorcycle at the EICMA 2021 Auto Expo last Tuesday (Nov.23). As Royal Enfield is currently celebrating its 120th anniversary, this new concept motorcycle has been quietly unveiled. The company has previewed the model of the motorcycle brand in the form of a cruiser. However the company has not released any information about the production and sales details of this new vehicle.

Mark Wells, Royal Enfield’s Head of Design, said: RE officials also explained that the idea behind this new concept is to design the future with the past in mind. Another important aspect that Royal Enfield emphasizes is the modification of the vehicle.

This extends across the SG650 Concept. That is, the concept is designed to combine the old and the new, from the glossy aluminum front end inspired by tradition to the digital graphic flowing in the vehicle’s tank. Primarily because this vehicle is just a concept that reveals the way forward for RE, many components for this motorcycle have been individually developed and specially designed. For example, a fuel tank is a CNC billet machine made from a solid block of aluminum.

It is made with integrated ABS, Bespoke designed brake calipers and wheel rims with dual front brake discs. The vehicle also comes with an integrated aluminum top yoke unit and USD forks with low rice extra-white bars. In addition, the 650cc, twin-cylinder motor and black-out casing for the exhaust system give the SG650 even more style.

In addition, the new concept vehicle features LED lighting in the headlamp and integrated LED daytime running lights. Also, the motorcycle comes with sleek LED turn indicators and retro-themed taillights. However, the dual rear shocks fitted in the classic chassis loop, hand-stitched black leather and separate seat are a testament to RE’s rich traditional history. In short, the company hopes that the SG650 concept will not only be a visual object, but also the basis of the motorcycle we see in the future.
