The new geostrategic vision of His Majesty the King for Africa is salutary and timely in many ways, as it testifies, once again, to the prominent place that Morocco occupies in the preservation of peace and stability in Africa, as well as its avant-garde role in the defense of the interests of the continent and its economic development, Mr. Sanyane told MAP.
He argued that given its crucial importance, this geostrategic vision of the Sovereign for the continent must absolutely be integrated into the Agenda of the African Union to, he said, “help Africa get moving”.
“This virtuous approach reflects the aspirations of African peoples for greater integration and progress,” he observed.
In the same vein, the analyst praised the Sovereign’s determination to work for the economic integration and development of the continent, as well as to make the Atlantic area a zone of progress and continental and international influence.
He added that the strategy and vision of HM King Mohammed VI for Africa and Africans “really poses a challenge for African leaders on what they must do to jointly address the geopolitical and geostrategic challenges facing the continent.”
In his speech, the Sovereign declared in particular: “In fact, despite the quality of its human resources and the abundance of its natural wealth, Atlantic Africa has a significant deficit in terms of infrastructure and investment. In order to remedy this state of affairs, We are working, in concert with Our brothers in Africa and all of Our partners, to develop practical and efficient responses, backed by international cooperation.”
