Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals are wearing a completely pink colored special jersey in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore being held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. The jersey is a part of the franchise’s Pink Promise campaign aimed at women empowerment in rural India.

“The Pink Promise match aims to enhance the team’s support for the inspirational and empowered women of rural India,” the franchise said in a statement. The broad vision of the Foundation is ‘If there is a woman, there is India’. It is inspired by strong women who are breaking barriers to bring positive change.

This pink jersey was launched by former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara and Rajasthan Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on March 12, much before the start of IPL 2024. Under the same initiative, Rajasthan Royals will also help in running six houses on solar energy for every six matches during the match.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has won the toss and decided to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore. RR is in tremendous form this season. He has won 3 out of 3 matches played so far. With 6 points, Rajasthan Royals are at the second position in the points table.
