Tirumala: A Chennai-based Muslim couple, businessman Abdul Ghani and Subina Banu, visited the Tirupati Seven Hills yesterday. Later they presented a check for Rs 1.02 crore to Devasthan CEO Dharma Reddy at Ranga Nayak Mandapam in the temple.

The flag-hoisting ceremony for the Brahmotsava festival is going to be held on the 27th at Tirupati Eyumalayan Temple. The festival will be held for 9 days till October 5. In this case, ‘Temple Alwar Thirumanjanam’, a program of cleansing the entire temple with perfumes, was held in Tirumala yesterday. Thus, the devotees were allowed to visit the Swami after 12 noon.

Rs. 5.71 crore contribution:

Devotees had paid Rs 5.71 crore in the Tirupati Eyumalayan Temple Bill last Monday alone. Also 62,276 devotees had darshan on that day. Out of this, 31,140 people have donated their hair.
