Famous tennis player Leander Paes fell in love with a model named Rhea Pillai. The two lived together in a live-in relationship in Mumbai. They have been living together since 2015 and have a daughter. But for them, there was a disagreement after that.
The two made various accusations against each other. Rhea Pillai accused Leander Paes of cheating on her and failing to do her father’s duty. Leander Paes, on the other hand, blamed Rhea for the child and her ex-husband.
Following this, Riya Pillai filed a case against Leander Paes in the Family Welfare Court in Mumbai in 2014 under the Domestic Violence Act. Leander Paes has appeared in court several times for this trial. The case has been under investigation for the last 8 years. The court has now given its verdict.
Leander Paes has been convicted. Accordingly, the court ordered Leander Paes to pay Rs 1 lakh per month as alimony to Rhea’s child, an increase of 5 per cent each year, thereby preventing him from coming to court frequently, plus Rs 50,000 a month in rent.
The court also ruled that Rhea Pillai must vacate the Leander Paes home where Rhea Pillai currently resides. The court also ruled that Leander Paes had to bear all costs, including his tuition, until the couple’s 18-year-old daughter was born.
