Chennai: Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has announced that the families of six people who died in a road accident near Madhurandakam will be given financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each.

In this regard, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin issued a statement saying, “Ten persons from Pozhichalur area of ​​Chennai, Pallavaram were returning to Tiruvannamalai temple by van. The vehicle they came in was coming near Janakipuram village, Madhuranthakam district, Chengalpattu district around three o’clock in the morning today (Dec. 7). Unexpectedly, the container collided with the lorry and had an accident.

I was deeply saddened to hear the sad news that Chandrasekhar (age 70), Sasikumar (age 30), Damodaran (age 28), Yehumalai (age 65), Gokul (age 33) and Shekhar (age 55) died on the spot in this accident.

Upon learning this news, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department Minister Th. Anbarasana, I have directed to go to the spot and render necessary assistance. Also, I have ordered to provide special treatment to 4 persons who were injured in the accident and are being treated at Chengalpattu Government General Hospital.

In this incident, I express my deepest condolence and condolences to the families of the deceased and I have ordered to pay one lakh rupees each to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s General Relief Fund,” the Chief Minister said in the statement.
