New Delhi: The Indian sports industry has received an all-time high of Rs. 3,397.32 crore has been earmarked.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for the current financial year (2023-24). Asian Games this year, Paris Olympics coming in 2024. Thus, to help the Indian stars perform well in the international arena, the sports department will spend a maximum of Rs. 3,397.32 crore has been earmarked.

This is higher than last year’s Rs. 334.72 crore more. Earlier in 2022-23 Rs. 3,062.60 crore had been earmarked. Besides, for the second time in a row Rs. More than 3000 crores have been allocated.

How much for whom?

This year the Sports Commission of India has been allocated Rs. 785.52 crore to be provided. These will be spent in various ways, including conducting national camps for sports stars, buying necessary materials, improving infrastructure, salaries of coaches.

A maximum of Rs. 1045 crore has been allocated. National Sports Federation Rs. 325 crore, National Sports Development Corporation Rs. 15 crore will be given. Apart from this, the National Anti-Doping Center Rs. 21.73 crore is provided.
