Mumbai: The Women’s IPL (WIPL) has raised Rs 4,699.99 crore, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The auction for the teams participating in the women’s IPL T20 cricket series was held in Mumbai yesterday.

The teams representing Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Lucknow are competing in W IPL. In continuation of that, the Women’s IPL auction was held yesterday. In this, the Ahmedabad team was paid Rs. 1,289 crore bought by Adani Group.

The Mumbai team was bought by Sports India for Rs.912.99 crore, Royal Challengers bought the Bengaluru team for Rs.901 crore and JSW GMR bought the Delhi team for Rs.810 crore.

Capri Global Holdings Group has bought the Lucknow team for Rs 757 crore.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has recorded on his Twitter page that the amount received for the WIPL tournament is now more than the amount received when the Men’s IPL tournament was started in 2008 and Rs.
