Rs. 60,000 compensation directed to Simcard Agency

Cuddalore: The consumer commission ordered the private SIM card sales agency to pay Rs 60,000 as compensation to the customers affected by the service defect. Puranan, 44, from Keerapalayam, Bhuvanagiri, was using a private company SIM card. As the SIM card was not working properly, he complained to the SIM card sales agency in Chennai, but the agency did not take any action.

Also, the mobile number he was using was given to another customer. Puranan, who suffered from this, filed a complaint with the Cuddalore District Consumer Grievance Redressal Commission in 2016, seeking compensation. In this, the consumer commission ordered the agency to pay Rs 60,000 as compensation to Pooran.
