Bajaj Auto Limited plans to build a new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Pune.
Bajaj Auto Limited has raised Rs. Is building an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Pune’s Agurdi area with an investment of Rs 300 crore. The plant is expected to produce about 5 lakh electric vehicles every year.
Sophisticated robotic and automated production systems are to be installed at the plant. Most of the work done here is to be done automatically. The plant will be set up on an area of 5 lakh square feet. A total of 800 employees are to be employed at the plant.
The first electric vehicle from the new plant is expected to be launched by June next year. In addition to the current investment, some vendors have also agreed to invest Rs. 250 crore are to be invested.
