Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is visiting Skopje

“There is no diplomacy, no relations, no real steps towards rapprochement, and not only towards Bulgaria, but towards the entire EU”, journalist Lyubcho Neshkov said in “This Morning” in connection with the visit of the President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to us. She is not coming for an official meeting, but for the opera “Nabucco”, which will be performed in Sofia by the visiting ballet dancers of the National Opera and Ballet of the RSM.

Neshkov explained that the RSM “blocks the processes, shows rejection of the negotiation framework, and the empty space is filled with an alliance between Belgrade and Bucharest. Corridor 8 is crossed out – Skopje thinks it is pointless and that the money should go for a highway to Belgrade At the same time, the government communicates with Russia, with Belarus, with Iran”, and in addition, “the risks of destabilization in the region are great”.

“The isolation of North Macedonia is deepening, and the visit is more of a declarative nature – there is nothing behind the statements that European integration is a priority,” pointed out the journalist Ivan Georgiev. He specified that “behind what we call cultural diplomacy, there are events and actions that say the exact opposite”.

Georgiev explained that “in Skopje, behind closed doors, the composition of the historical commission was changed – this commission was created after the signing of the good-neighborly agreement – it was supposed to resolve disputes about history”.

“We have conducted many interviews with Dragi Georgiev – for 7 years he was the chairman of this commission. He protected the interests of his country, but he had no hatred for Bulgaria, he approached it as a historian. Now the situation is radically different – with the changes of this commission, the beginning was set on its end – some of these people are fueled by hatred for Bulgaria, with sincere dislike. Mitko Panov, for example, has stated more than once that the change in textbooks aims to change the self-awareness of young people. He claims that Vasili is not bi called a “Bulgarian murderer”, as well as that Cyril and Methodius have nothing to do with Bulgaria”, explained Georgiev. He added that Mitko Panov is the “son of his father” Branko Panov – the creator of Macedonian medialism, the Macedonian Middle Ages. “In my opinion (Prime Minister of RSM Hristiyan) Mitkoski killed this commission,” Georgiev is categorical.

“I want to hear tonight what we are – Tatars, fascists, beasts, occupiers?”, commented Neshkov and added that “this president (Silyanovska) criticizes publications in the Bulgarian media – these authors are then stopped at the border, it is about Gotse Delchev”.

Asked what they claim in Skopje about our bilateral relations, Neshkov explained that “they don’t want to communicate with us because we don’t have a stable power, and they would turn to France. I don’t know if Mickoski is aware, but in France there is a signature for the overthrow of Macron, do you see what a perversion this is?”.

According to Neshkov, Georgiev “is right about the commission”: “This is all part of the reorientation of the state to serve foreign interests, but they are not even Macedonian interests”.

Georgiev added that “there is an accumulation of Euroscepticism, which is somewhat understandable – people are waiting and waiting, the people are being lied to. Now they are being told that there will be no negotiations with Bulgaria because there is no stable government. And their previous government had the same narrative “. He recalled that Siljanovska’s first meeting was with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic: “She has no other meetings with heads of state with whom she talked about the country’s path.”

According to the bTV correspondent in North Macedonia, Siljanovska’s visit to our country is the main news there. However, the media do not write that there will be serious talks about changes, but rather an attempt to warm relations. “In less than 2 weeks, Viktor Orbán is coming to North Macedonia”, the correspondent also stated and recalled that the Hungarian Prime Minister gave a 500 million euro loan to Skopje, as well as that the former Prime Minister of the RSM, Nikola Gruevski, who was overthrown , escaped precisely there.

“The goal is simple, they will use today’s event to attack Bulgaria. There were also accusations that we are not behaving culturally. Orban’s visit is not an accident, it is not diplomacy. Can you imagine what these 500 million euros mean? Orban is the heart and the soul of Macedonia’s aggression against Bulgaria, he is the financier of all these media that hate us,” Neshkov further explained. He added that Mickoski is going to negotiate in Brussels “to pass himself off as a victim”. “Who is the author of this? Vucic – he constantly repeats from morning to night that Serbia is a victim, that the world is against it, that it is being accused of crimes that it otherwise committed,” the journalist added.
